Branding the strategic plan

challenge

A vision in need of a voice

Our organization was about to launch a massive new strategic plan. But the plan itself was a 35-page document full of insider terminology accompanied by a spreadsheet that would make your eyes water. My challenge was to translate this complex, mission-critical document into a compelling playbook that would resonate with every stakeholder, from the boardroom to the field.

strategy

Bringing strategy to life

I developed a bold identity system tied to our mission, translating intricate goals into simple themes and clear messages. To keep the plan front and center and prevent it from collecting dust, we built a dedicated microsite, easy-to-use slide decks, and launched a full internal campaign to ensure teams were aligned, informed, and empowered to make the plan a reality.

key takeaways

A strategy with a life beyond the boardroom

A strategic plan shouldn't collect dust in a binder. By treating it like a brand campaign, we gave it life beyond the boardroom. We created a clear, bold vision that inspired our teams, fostered a sense of shared purpose, and ensured everyone was aligned on where we're going.

don't just take my word for it

"This is just what all organizations should produce and how they should manage and report. I have shared it with the for-profit organizations I work with! The messaging and design and every detail is fantastic."
